Open to the public, Rancho Bernardo Inn’s championship Resort Course offers a unique combination of challenging golf and the dedicated personal service of a AAA Four-Diamond resort. The tree-lined layout features undulating fairways, striking water features and greens protected by well-placed bunkers. A meandering stream brings water into play on twelve holes, while four sets of tees accommodate all levels of play. Stay & Play packages include your choice of a round of golf or a spa treatment for each guest, as well as accommodations in one of the 287 spacious guestrooms.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From I-15: Exit Rancho Bernardo Road, drive east to Pomerado Road and turn left. Turn left onto Greens East Road and follow the signs to the resort entrance.

GOLF COURSE

The Resort Course is a traditional-style layout that has stood the test of time. The original William Francis Bell design opened in 1962. Since then it has undergone two redesigns to keep pace with the changing game of golf. Most recently, the design team of Schmidt & Curley resculpted every bunker and added a set of tees. The improvements have paid off, as the course is sought out by golfers looking for a memorable round on a course that has hosted both PGA and LPGA events.

FACILITIES

Luxurious guestrooms include private patios or balconies, custom furnishings, and plasma televisions. The Spa, ranked #1 Resort Spa in North America by Condé Nast Traveler, features private casitas in an expansive garden. Dining is a distinct pleasure: El Bizcocho is Zagat’s highest-rated in San Diego, and Veranda features an expansive patio overlooking the course.
